14 October 2023 (Saturday): Sarva Pitru Amas: Pitru Paksha ends on the new moon day of the month of Ashwin. Apart from this, a solar eclipse will also take place on this day. Mahalaya is also on this day.
15 October 2023 (Sunday): Navratri begins: Pratham Nortu: Navratri begins, on this day Kalash is installed in Durga temples and homes.
15 October to 23 October: 9 days are Navratri. In which Mataji is worshiped in villages and cities.
22 October 2023 (Sunday): This day is the Maha Ashtami of Sharadiya Navratri. It is also called Havanashtami.
23 October 2023 (Monday): This day is the ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri.
24 October 2023 (Tuesday): This day is Dussehra. Idols of Maa Durga are immersed on this day. Ravana Dahan is also done.
28 October 2023 (Saturday): The full moon celebrated in the month of Ashwin is called Sharad Purnima. On the day of Sharad Purnima, kheer and dudh paua are prepared and kept in the open sky at night, so that it acquires the quality of nectar.
After Navratri, the most important festival that comes at the end of the year is Diwali. Many festivals come together on Diwali. Which are as follows.
- Vaghbaras : Vaghbaras is on the day of Aso Vad Baras i.e. 11 November.
- Dhanteras : Dhanteras is on the day of Aso Vad Teras i.e. 11 November.
- Kali Chaudhas: Kali Chaudhas is on the day of Aso Vad Chaudash i.e. 12 November.
