As seen in the Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ storm that formed in the Arabian Sea in June, ‘Biparjoy’ initially moved in a north-westerly direction and then passed over Mandvi in ​​Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan.

News agency PTI said that this will be the second cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea this year. The storm will be named ‘Tej’ as per the formula adopted for naming cyclones in the Indian Ocean region. According to the IMD, Cyclone Tej will intensify into a severe cyclonic storm on Sunday and is likely to move towards the southern coast of Oman and neighboring Yemen. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of heavy winds and rain in many areas including Mumbai.
