Online registration for PM Muft Bijli Scheme Registration has now started. Under the PM Suryaghar Yojana free electricity scheme, the beneficiaries are to be given the benefit of free electricity up to 300 units. Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed on the roofs of people’s houses. Central government will invest 75,000 crore rupees under the free electricity scheme. Apart from this, the government will also provide subsidy up to Rs.78000 to the beneficiaries.

Rs. 75 thousand crore PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that those installing solar panels will get 300 units of electricity free of charge. In the scheme, solar panels will be installed on 1 crore houses. How to apply for solar scheme?
- First go to pmsuryaghar.gov.in/ 52 to install solar panels on the roof of the house under this scheme.
- Click on Apply for Rooftop Solar option. The registration page will open. Fill in the information.
- Then contact the registered vendor as soon as the feasibility approval is received from the discom. Apply for net meter after installation.
- After installing the meter, the discom team will inspect and issue mining certificate.
- How to get subsidy? After receiving the commissioning report, deposit the bank account details and a canceled check through the portal. After that, the subsidy will be credited to the account within 30 days.
- How much will it cost? Plant Expenditure Subsidy 3 kw 1.45 lakh 78 thousand 2 kw 1.10 lakh 60 thousand 1 kw 50 thousand 30 thousand – Bank loan at 7% interest for balance of cost.
- How to earn money? : One kilowatt plant produces 4 units of electricity. On that basis, the kilowatt will generate up to 12 units of electricity per day. It will produce 360 units per month. If you spend up to 200 units in a month, the remaining 160 units will go back to the company through net metering. Ability to use solar energy? According to the CEEW report, 637 gigawatts of solar panels can be installed on 25 crore houses in the country.
