Namo Lakshmi Yojana Gujarat: The finance minister of Gujarat state Mr Kanubhai Desai announced the launch of the Namo Lakshmi Scheme Yojana 2024. Under the Namo Lakshmi Scheme Yojana 2024, the Gujarat state government will provide financial assistance to adolescent girls in the Gujarat state. The financial assistance will help adolescent girls complete their education till class 12th without worrying about financial troubles. This Scheme will empower women in the Gujarat state by providing quality education. The financial assistance of INR 50000 will be given to the selected applicant under the Namo Lakshmi Yojana over 4 years.

Namo Lakshmi Yojana Gujarat

Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai has made several new announcements in the state budget (Gujarat Budget 2024) today. One of which is Namo Lakshmi Yojana. 1250 crore has been allocated for this. This scheme has been announced to increase the level of education among women. 10 lakh eligible students studying in government, aided, private, secondary and higher secondary schools will be given an annual assistance of Rs 10 thousand for class 9 and 10 and Rs 15 thousand per year for girl students studying in class 11 and 12.

Under this scheme, students studying up to 12 will be eligible to get a total assistance of 50 thousand.

Namo Lakshmi Yojana will increase enrollment of girls in schools in class 9 to 12. This will boost women’s education and nutrition. The implementation of this scheme can achieve universal enrollment in secondary education as well. 1250 crore has been allocated for this scheme in the next year.

Namo Saraswati Yojana

Twenty-first century is the century of science and technology in which IT is used in every sphere of life. And related technologies have an important part to play. Additionally, science stream (STEM) education is essential for higher-level new job opportunities. “Namo Saraswati Yojana” has been announced to promote education in science stream courses. Under this scheme, eligible poor and middle class students studying in science stream of higher secondary schools will be given assistance of 10,000 in class-11 and 15,000 in class-12 for a total of 25,000. With this scheme, the number of students in the science stream is expected to increase from 2 lakh to 5 lakh annually in the next five years. 400 crore will be spent next year for this scheme.

Namo Shri Yojana

I am announcing “Namo Shree Yojana” to empower pregnant and lactating mothers by strengthening their nutrition. Under this scheme, assistance of 612 thousand will be given to pregnant sisters who fall under 11 criteria including SC, ST, NFSA, PM-JAY. This scheme will provide health protection to mothers and newborns along with nutrition. 2750 crore has been provided for this scheme in the next year.
The government has also decided to make significant changes in the existing various nutritional schemes. Under the Dudh Sanjeev scheme, the fat content of milk provided in schools will be increased from 1.5% to 4.5% and every beneficiary child and woman will be given milk five days a week. It has also been announced to increase the per student assistance by 60% for vegetables, pepper-spices and jaggery etc. under the PM Poshan Yojana.
