Heavy to very heavy rain forecast again in Gujarat: Rain forecast: Fourth round of rain: The Met department has come out with some relief news for the farmers in the state. After the rains in the state took a break for a month or two, the farmers had given up hope of the rains. In the second-third round, the overflowing reservoirs were used for irrigation by drawing rain. Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted that there will be good rain in the month of September. Meteorological department forecast

Monsoon is once again becoming active in Gujarat after a long time. The rains that completely disappeared in August have finally arrived once again in September. Meanwhile, a good forecast of the Meteorological Department has come out. This forecast can be particularly useful for the farmers of Gujarat for the month of September.

Due to the rainy system that came from Bengal towards the west, the country including Gujarat is experiencing rainy weather. This system is over south-east Madhya Pradesh which is affecting Gujarat. However, the Meteorological Department is saying that there will be a decrease in rainfall after the system breaks down. The Meteorological Department has also said that there will be no major change in the weather in the coming days.

Good rain may be seen in some areas in next 1-2 days in Gujarat. In which there are chances of rain in various districts of South Gujarat except Saurashtra-Kutch of Gujarat during 48 hours, light to moderate rain has been predicted in all the districts of North Gujarat during the next 24 hours. If rain is forecast on 9th, it has been predicted to rain in Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Aravalli districts.

During 24 hours there is a possibility of good rain in various districts of South Gujarat like Narmada, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. There are also chances of heavy rainfall in some parts of this district. While heavy rainfall has been predicted in Vadodara, Chotaudepur, Bharuch, Dahod by the Meteorological Department.

Rain forecast


After September 10, rain is predicted in the north-eastern parts of the country. Rain may occur in various districts of Gujarat till September 14. The formation of a good monsoon system over Bengal and the Arabian Sea will bring rain. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely over Panchmahal and South Gujarat. At present, rain is being seen in many districts in Gujarat. Rain activity will continue in various districts of the state till September 13. After September 10, the rain system is predicted to be restored. Due to which, there is a possibility of good rain in North East parts of Gujarat. A new rain system will form in the atmosphere till September 14, which will move towards Madhya Pradesh and bring rain in Gujarat.

Rain forecast for September 9

The following has been predicted by the Meteorological Department on September 9.

  • Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely over various districts of North Gujarat such as Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha and Aravalli.
  • Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely in various districts of Central Gujarat like Gandhinagar, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand.
  • Heavy rain has been predicted at scattered places in Vadodara, Dahod, Chotaudepur, Bharuch, Panchmahal districts.
  • Heavy to very heavy rain has been forecast at isolated places in Narmada, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman.
  • Light rainfall has been predicted in various districts of Saurashtra like Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Surendranagar, Junagadh, Amreli.

Alert in 9 districts

Due to the rain system created in the Bay of Bengal, it has been predicted to rain in Gujarat. In which the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many districts of Central Gujarat and South Gujarat. Orange alert of rain has been given in five districts of South Gujarat. Orange alert for rain in Navsari, Dang, Tapi. Besides Surat and Narmada, Dadra and Nagar-Haveli have also been given orange alert considering the forecast of rain. Bharuch, Vadodara, Chotaudepur, Dahod have been issued a yellow alert by the Meteorological Department.
